The (almost) Finished Product

We have made a lot of progress in Journee's room and we are almost finished. I told Billy he should consider being a professional "wall decaler" since he has gained so much experience in this area. I also promised him that we will not be adding any more to the room! We are both very pleased with the outcome of her room and can't wait to see her in it.

No Longer THEIR room

We think that our labs, Hunter and Jade, are having a difficult time with all the changes that have taken place in our home. They have always been our "babies" and are extremely spoiled so I think they are going through a bit of a rough adjustment period. First of all, their room was transformed into Journee's room. Yes... they had their own room with an extra large crate, a full sized bed to hang out on, and the whole room was covered in pictures of them.

They not only lost their room but we had to break the habit of them sleeping with us in bed. It got quite crowded with two adults, two big labs, my growing belly, and my full sized body pillow I began sleeping with at the beginning of pregnancy. They actually have done pretty well with this adjustment and they still get to sleep in our bedroom, but on their beds. We had previously also broken the habit of them laying on the couches (since they were destroying them) but I had to cave on that one because I felt too bad so they are allowed back on the couches now.

Although they are our original babies, they are definitely in for quite a surprise once the real baby arrives! For now they can enjoy their time with me while I'm home with them all day before she gets here.

Although they are allowed on the couch, they are supposed to stay on the side where there's a blanket for them to lay on.... apparently I'm too much of a softy!

Update on the Princess

I found out on Tuesday of this week that my time off from work has now become permanent until the princess arrives. Although things have improved, the doctor would like to take all necessary precautions and that includes taking it easy. On the bright side, bedrest was lifted and I'm now on more or less of "sitrest"....I need to sit most of the day but don't have to lay down and I'm allowed to leave the house to run errands as long as I'm not on my feet for too long. Unfortunately the gym is out of the question still but I will enjoy my limited freedom for now! I am 28 weeks along with ???? more weeks to go until the princess decides to make her appearance!

I had a dream the other night that I ended up delivering a boy so I had them check again to make sure it was still a girl!

Bedrest...

Little Miss Journee gave us a bit of a scare when she was attempting to make a very early appearance. After a long day and night at the hospital, the doctor released me the following afternoon with that dreaded word.... BEDREST!

It's a good thing that I am quite the TV connoisseur, because otherwise I may have gone crazy by now. If bedrest does become permanent, I will explore more productive hobbies (perhaps crocheting or knitting?? Those were two of the suggested activities I found while searching online...) but I'm not making any promises!

At this point, I am taking it one day at a time and it's possible that bedrest will be lifted soon but our main priority is Journee's health and well being!
10 days down... ???? days to go!
